Ogunquit Maine

An excellent site to see while you are in Ogunquit Maine is the Ogunquit Museum of American Art.  A large part of Ogunquit being established was that it was an artist’s community, and the Ogunquit Museum of Art has many works of these establishing artists.  As you enter the Museum, there is a dramatic and beautiful view of the Ogunquit Beach shoreline of the Maine Coast and Atlantic Ocean.  This view in the background set a very unique atmosphere for the museum.  The Ogunquit Museum of Art is open between July 1st through October 31st.  The museum is nationally recognized as one of America’s best is was founded by Henry Strater and he oversaw its completion in the early 1950’s.
