Ogunquit Playhouse

The Ogunquit Playhouse is one of Ogunquit Maine’s most historic landmarks.  To this day, the Ogunquit Playhouse still experiences famous acts and eager audiences since its inception in the early 1930’s.  The founders wanted to bring the level of theatre from New York City to Maine, and since Ogunquit was reknowned as an artists’ colony and beautiful summer vacation spot, it was the perfect fit.  The Theatre rolls out about five shows per summer and also has a children’s theatre program.  Some of the Ogunquit Playhouse’s recent shows have been The Producers, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, & Breaking Up Is Hard to Do.  During your trip to Ogunquit be sure to set aside an evening where you can join the audience and see some of Ogunquit Maine’s finest theatre, at the Ogunquit Playhouse.
